Teach Vamos your voice

How Vamos learns your voice from your writing or your answers, and how to make it steadier.

You can describe your voice to Vamos, but the steadiest voice is derived from things you have actually written.

That distinction is the whole method. A description of your tone produces writing that matches the description. Samples of your writing produce writing that matches you.

Adding samples

Brain, then Voice, then Improve voice. Pick My accounts, Links or Paste text.

A sample can be a post, a profile Vamos reads posts from, or text you paste in. Anything where the words are yours.

Send one and Vamos reads it in a chat and updates your voice. It tells you what changed, so you can see the effect of a single sample.

With no voice yet, the Voice page offers three ways to start instead:

  • Learn from your posts

  • Add your own content

  • Set up in chat, where Vamos asks a few questions about how you talk

Making it steadier

More samples make a steadier voice. With only a few, it is thinner and more likely to drift between drafts.

Two things matter more than raw count. If you post on a platform Vamos has no sample from, add one from it, because how you write on TikTok is not how you write on LinkedIn. And if every sample is the same kind of post, add a different format, because a voice derived only from talking-head scripts will not carry a written caption.

Below your voice, Vamos lists any sections still empty, with Learn from my posts and Fill in myself beside them.

Editing your voice

Your voice is one document. Edit it like any doc, and your edits are kept. Add another sample afterwards and Vamos updates the document, keeping what is already accurate.

Every change, yours or Vamos's, is in the Changelog at the top of Brain, with Undo.

Improve voice, then What's off, is the other way to change it. Say what is wrong in plain language and Vamos adjusts your voice.

Testing it

Test voice, in the menu beside Improve voice, writes a short post in your voice so you can judge it against something concrete. Do this after adding a few samples rather than judging from the document alone.

Starting over

Delete a section or a passage as you would in any doc. If the voice was built from the wrong material, open Improve voice, pick What's off and say so. Vamos keeps what is accurate and rewrites the rest.

Reset voice, in the same menu, deletes the whole document, and Vamos writes without a voice until you build a new one.

Why it is worth the effort

Every draft in the product is written from this. Scripts, captions, briefs, the drafts attached to your weekly brief. It is the single setting with the widest effect on whether the output is usable or generic.
