Adding your own handle is the single step that changes the most, and it is the one people skip.
It is not a login
You search for your handle or paste your profile URL. There is no password, no permission screen and no connected app.
Vamos reads what is public on that profile, the same as anyone visiting it. That means it cannot see your private analytics, your drafts, your messages or your notifications, and it cannot post as you.
A private account cannot be read at all, including your own. If yours is private there is nothing to add.
What it gives you
A baseline. Vamos works out what your account normally gets, then measures each of your posts against that. This is what makes "this post did well" a fact rather than a feeling, and it is why the weekly brief can tell you one of your own posts took off.
Material for your voice. Your own posts are the best samples available, because they are you writing for your actual audience.
Your numbers on Home. Views, posts, your best recent post and how each compares to the previous period, per account.
The first read takes about a minute. Home tells you it is working while it happens.
Adding more than one
You can add several accounts, up to a limit shown on the page. Every one you add is measured against its own normal rather than pooled, which matters because your TikTok baseline and your Instagram baseline are rarely close.
Removing one
Tracking stops. Research and briefs lose it as a reference point, and anything already written stays as it is. You can add it back later.
What it does not do
Adding a handle does not make Vamos learn from your results on its own. It gives Vamos the numbers so it can tell you what happened, and so you can decide what it means.
