Brain is what Vamos knows about you and the instructions it follows. It used to be called My Brand. It is the one thing worth setting up before anything else, because everything else reads from it.
Explore in Videos is picked from the content pillars here. Drafts are written in the voice here. Your own posts are measured against the accounts added here. Skip it and Vamos still works, but it writes for nobody in particular.
Open Brain in the sidebar. It has three pages, Profile, Voice and Instructions, and two lists, Files and Skills.
Profile
Five short fields.
About is who you are and what you post about.
Audience is who you want watching and buying, and what they care about.
Positioning is why people pick you over the alternatives, plus one proof.
Offer is what people buy or book, the prices, and where they get it.
Goal is the one thing your posts should get people to do now, like book a call or join your list.
Write them the way you would explain it to a new hire. Vamos reads them on every piece of work, so vagueness here becomes vagueness everywhere. Keep each one short. Anything longer goes in a file.
Fill in the rest
While any of the five fields is empty, the Profile page shows Fill in the rest. It has Vamos fill the empty fields from your website and accounts, and leaves the filled ones as they are.
Pain points, benefits and core ideas
They are no longer separate sections. Pain points and benefits moved to the end of Audience, and core ideas to the end of Positioning.
Socials and website
The accounts you publish from, under Socials at the top of the Profile page. Adding an Instagram, TikTok or YouTube account turns on tracking, which means Vamos reads your public posts there and uses them two ways: as your performance baseline, and as material for your voice.
Removing a handle stops the tracking. Research and briefs lose it as a reference point, and anything already written stays as it is.
Your website goes in Website, below the five fields. See Adding your socials.
Content pillars
The themes your content keeps returning to, each with a share of your posts and the topics beneath it.
These matter more than they look. Explore in Videos is built from them, along with creators like the ones you follow. Change them and Explore changes. Leave them empty and it has nothing to match against.
Keep at least one.
Memory
Facts Vamos has saved about you from your chats, so you stop repeating yourself. They are at the bottom of the Profile page: Manage lists every one, and the switch turns Memory off. See How Memory works.
Voice
Your voice is one document you read and edit like any doc. Vamos builds it from your posts, and you can ask it to change any part. See Teach Vamos your voice.
Reset voice deletes it, and Vamos writes without a voice until you build a new one.
Instructions
Rules Vamos follows on every task, in your own words. You can paste a script structure straight in, up to 8,000 characters.
Only you write them. When you give Vamos a rule in chat, it saves it to Memory, not to your Instructions.
Files
Docs Vamos reads when it works for you. Useful for a brand guide, a product sheet, or a transcript of you talking.
Start a blank one with New file, or upload a PDF, Word, text, Markdown, CSV or Excel file up to 4 MB. Images are not accepted here, though you can attach them in chat. Save to Brain keeps an answer from chat as a file.
Vamos sees the list of your files and opens the ones a task needs. Nothing is pulled in on its own.
If you see Brain is full, delete a file or shorten one to make room.
Skills
The steps for a job you repeat, with a When to use line that tells Vamos when to follow them. Vamos uses a skill only when the job in front of it matches that line.
New skill lets you write one yourself, upload a .md file, or pick Create with Vamos, describe it in chat, and Vamos drafts it.
Changelog
Every change to your Brain, by you or by Vamos, is in the Changelog at the top of the page. View changes shows what changed and Undo reverses it. A deleted file or skill comes back from there.
A change that was edited again afterwards can't be undone. Memory changes are edited on the Profile page instead.
Ask Vamos
Ask Vamos, at the top of the page, opens a chat beside it. Tell it what to change and the page updates while it works.
