A Routine is a prompt that runs on a schedule. You write the prompt, pick the cadence, and the result arrives by email and in the app.
Your weekly brief is separate. That one is built in, free, and arrives every Monday without being set up. Routines are the ones you create. See Your weekly brief.
Making one
Two ways.
Create with Vamos. Describe what you want in plain language and it sets the prompt and the schedule for you. Faster, and it usually asks the questions you would have forgotten.
Set up manually. Write the title, the prompt, and choose the schedule yourself.
Either way you end up in the same place, and you can edit it afterwards.
Scheduling
Daily, weekly, every two weeks, or monthly. Pick the day, the time, and the time zone.
Routines fire within a few minutes of the time you set, in your zone rather than ours.
Where results arrive
In the app, on the Routines page and on Home, and by email.
You can add up to three email addresses, which is the way to get a client or a colleague on the distribution without giving them an account. Email delivery can be switched off entirely if you only want results in the app.
How many you get
Depends on your plan, and the counter on the page shows where you are. Free has one, and paid plans have more. See Plans, credits and prices.
Pausing a Routine does not use up a slot in the way an active one does, so pausing rather than deleting is the right move for something seasonal.
The starters
Six are built in, and they are worth reading even if you write your own, because they show the shape of a prompt that works on a schedule.
Weekly loop plans your week from what is working and writes every post in full. Trend report covers the week's biggest shifts in your niche with proof and next moves. Competitor watch reports what your competitors changed and what to do about it. Profile review tells you which of your posts beat your average and the formula behind them. Daily content finds one thing worth posting today from the last 24 hours. Refresh past winners rebuilds posts that already worked into new ones.
Each has a version for a personal brand and one for a company, and you can preview a starter before turning it on.
Running one now
Run now on any Routine, which is how to see what it produces without waiting for the schedule. Useful right after writing one.
Credits
Routines spend credits like any other work, from the same account balance.
A failed run is refunded. If a run breaks partway through, its credits come back and it tries again on the next schedule.
If you are out of credits when a run is due, it does not run and tells you that was why.
Editing, pausing and deleting
Every Routine has edit, pause, resume and delete. Deleting a Routine keeps the chats it already produced, so your history is not lost with it.
