Schedules and delivery

Cadences, time zones, email delivery, and running one on demand.

A Routine runs on the schedule you set, and every result lands in the app. With the Email switch on, it lands in your inbox too.

Cadence

Daily, weekly, every two weeks, or monthly. Then a day, a time, and a time zone.

Routine settings: “Schedule” reading “Every Friday at 09:00 Europe/Budapest”, the Prompt box, and the “Email” switch on

A routine fires within a few minutes of the time you set. The time zone is yours, not ours, which matters if you want something in your inbox before you start work rather than in the middle of the night.

Picking a cadence that produces something

Match the cadence to how fast the thing you are asking about actually changes.

Weekly suits most of it. Competitor activity, what worked, what to make next. A week is enough for a pattern to form.

Daily suits one thing: finding something worth posting today. Ask for a weekly-sized analysis daily and most runs will have nothing new to say, because nothing changed in a day.

Monthly suits planning and review rather than reaction.

Where results arrive

In the app, on the Routines page and on the New chat page, marked as new until you open them.

By email, if you want, to you by default. Ask Vamos in chat and it can send to up to three addresses instead.

Those three addresses are the useful part for anyone working with other people. A client gets the weekly competitor report without needing an account, and a colleague gets it without you forwarding anything.

Email delivery can be switched off if you only want results in the app. The Email switch is under Settings on the routine's page.

If an email does not arrive

Check the app first, because the result is there either way. Vamos tells you when a provider blocked the delivery rather than failing silently, and the result stays available on the routine.

Running one now

Run now on any Routine. That is the way to check a prompt produces what you wanted instead of finding out in a week.

Routine page for “Competitor watch”: Active, “Next run in 3 days”, “Settings” and “Run now”, empty “Deliveries (0)”

Do it once after writing a routine, read what came back, then adjust the prompt. A routine with a vague prompt produces a vague result fifty-two times.

Pausing

Pause rather than delete for anything seasonal. Pausing keeps the routine and its history, stops it running, and the page shows it as paused rather than broken. The switch at the top right of the routine's page pauses and resumes it.

A paused routine that was due while it was off says so when you look, rather than appearing to have failed.
