Vamos reads a creator when you add them, then keeps reading on a schedule. The numbers you see are from its last read, not live.
When a creator is first added
Vamos scans them straight away. The page says it is working while their posts come in. Give it a minute or two for a creator with a long back catalogue.
After that their recent videos, views, engagement and outlier scores are on their page and in Videos under Following.
Keeping up with new posts
New posts are picked up on a schedule set by how often the creator posts. Once a creator is set up, a video they publish appears on their page and in Videos under Following without you doing anything.
The numbers on recent posts refresh on the same schedule, set by how often that account posts. A busy account is re-read more often than a quiet one.
So a view count is what Vamos last read rather than a live figure. On a video that is climbing, the number you see may already be behind, which is the nature of reading public data rather than having an API into someone else's analytics.
Two things the refresh does not do. It does not re-read comment text, only comment counts. And it does not keep updating every historical post, only recent ones.
What the weekly brief reads
The last fourteen days, even though it arrives weekly, starting at your last brief if that is more recent. A finding has to be inside that window to appear, which gives a post published late in a quiet week a second chance to be noticed.
Formats are the exception: the brief takes this week's pick of new formats, the same one Formats shows.
For an outlier, a post also has to be at least twice its creator's median and have at least 5,000 views. The brief takes at most five posts from any one creator, so a prolific account cannot fill it. Your own posts are not held to the view floor.
Nothing is pushed to you
Vamos does not email or notify you when a creator posts something big. The creators you follow are somewhere you look, and the weekly brief is the only thing that arrives on its own.
So a video that takes off between briefs is waiting on the creator's page and in Videos under Following when you open them, marked with its outlier score.
If a creator's numbers look stale
Open the creator. On the Insights tab, a line says how many of their latest posts the numbers are based on. A low number on a recent addition means the scan is still working through their catalogue.

The two things that cannot be fixed by waiting
A private account will never produce anything.
A dormant account has nothing to read. The page says they have not posted recently rather than pretending to load.
