My Brand is what Vamos knows about you. It is the one thing worth setting up before anything else, because everything else reads from it.
Your feed is picked from the topics here. Drafts are written in the voice derived here. Your own posts are measured against the account added here. Skip it and Vamos still works, but it writes for nobody in particular.
There are three tabs: Profile, Voice and Context.
Profile
Four written sections.
About you is what you do, who it is for, and what you sell. Audience is who you are making content for. Goal is what you want content to achieve, in concrete terms rather than as an aspiration. Positioning is what makes you different from everyone else in your space.
Write them the way you would explain it to a new hire. Vamos reads them as context on every piece of work, so vagueness here becomes vagueness everywhere.
Content pillars
The themes your content keeps returning to, each with a share of your output and topics beneath it.
These matter more than they look. Your Discover For you feed is built from them, along with the creators you track. Change the pillars and the feed changes. Leave them empty and the feed has nothing to match against.
Keep at least one.
Core ideas
Opinions you would defend, not topics you cover. "Volume times skill equals outcome" is a core idea. "Fitness" is a pillar.
This is the section that stops drafts reading like anyone else's, because it gives Vamos a position to write from.
Audience pain points and benefits
What your audience is stuck on, and what changes once they follow you.
Your socials and website
The accounts you publish from. Adding one turns on tracking, which means Vamos reads your public posts there and uses them two ways: as your performance baseline, and as material for your voice.
Removing a handle stops the tracking. Research and briefs lose it as a reference point, and anything already written stays as it is.
Memory
Facts Vamos has saved about you from your chats, so you stop repeating yourself. You can see them here, and Memory can be switched off. See How Memory works.
The readiness meter
At the top of the page is a score of how complete your profile is, out of five things: profile depth, content pillars, website, your handle, and writing samples.
It runs from a count of gaps to Ready to write. There is a Complete in chat button that has Vamos interview you for whatever is missing, which is faster than filling in boxes and usually produces better answers.
Voice
Your voice is derived from samples rather than described. See Teach Vamos your voice.
Context
Documents, notes, links and pasted text that Vamos can pull facts from. Useful for a brand guide, a product sheet, or a transcript of you talking.
Up to 100 MB per file. Images are not accepted here, though you can attach them in chat.
