Discover: For you, Following and Search

The feed, what each tab shows, and what you can do with a video once you find it.

Discover is the feed. Three tabs, each answering a different question.

For you

What is working in your space, whether or not you follow the people doing it.

It is built from two things: the content pillars in My Brand, and the creators in your Watchlists. It is rebuilt every Monday.

There is a How For you works panel on the page that shows you which of those two inputs it is using and how thin each one is. It degrades honestly. With no creators followed it will tell you the feed is guessing from your topics alone, and with no pillars set it will tell you it cannot match anything to what you make.

If the feed feels generic, that panel is where to look first. It is almost always one of those two inputs.

Following

Only the creators on your Watchlists, newest first. No inference, no picking.

Use this when you want to know what your actual competitors did this week rather than what is happening in the category.

Search

Any topic, across Instagram and TikTok.

Search reads an index of short-form video first and goes live when the index comes up short, which is why some queries return instantly and others take a moment.

YouTube is not offered here. It is a small enough share of the index that a YouTube-filtered search would return a thin, unrepresentative set. Ask in chat instead and Vamos will search YouTube alongside Instagram and TikTok.

What to do with a video

Every card has the same four actions.

Add to chat brings the video into a conversation so you can ask anything about it. Make it mine asks Vamos to recreate it for your brand in your voice. More like this finds neighbours. See insights opens the numbers and the breakdown.

You can also save it to a Collection with a note, which is how you build up a set before handing the whole thing to a chat.

Every card shows an outlier score. That is how far the video beat what its own channel normally gets, not how it compares to the platform. See The outlier score.

Asking about the whole page

Discover has an Ask AI panel. It works on the videos on the page in front of you. Prefilled starts cover breaking down the top hooks, remixing the top videos for your brand, and finding the outliers on the page.

On the free plan

Discover shows a sample rather than the whole feed, and formats cannot be opened. Everything else on the page behaves the same.
