Ad research happens in chat rather than in Discover, and it works differently from organic research for one reason worth knowing.
Ads are never stored
Vamos searches ads live every time. They are not in the index.
That is deliberate. An ad stops running when its campaign stops, so a stored copy goes stale in a way an organic post does not. Reading live means what you get is actually running.
The trade is speed and completeness. Ad research takes longer than organic research and returns less, and that is the reason rather than a fault.
Asking for it
In chat:
Look at what [brand] is running in the Meta ad library right now. What angles are they testing, and what do the strongest ones have in common?
Or from a single ad:
Break down this ad and tell me what it is doing.
The link that catches people out
An ad-library search page is a query, not an ad. Vamos will tell you so.
If you want one ad analysed, open it and use its own link. If you want a sweep of what a brand is running, ask in chat and let Vamos do the searching rather than pasting URLs.
What ads tell you that organic does not
What they are paying to say. An organic post is a guess about what works. An ad running for weeks is a claim somebody is spending money to keep making.
Which angle is the one they lead with. Brands test several and keep the winner. Reading a set of a competitor's ads tells you which message survived their testing.
Offer and positioning. Ads carry the pitch far more explicitly than organic content does.
Turning it into your own work
From those ads, write me three organic posts that make the same argument in my voice, without the ad framing.
The argument is the transferable part. The format is not, because an ad is written to interrupt and an organic post is not.
What this is not
Vamos does not report ad spend, impressions or performance. Those numbers are not public. What you get is what is running and what it says.
