A Collection holds the videos and docs you are working from. Videos you want to study, and docs Vamos wrote that you will come back to.
The point is not filing. The point is that you can hand a whole set to a chat at once instead of pasting links one at a time.
Making one
Collections, then New collection. Name it, describe it if it helps. There is a default collection already there.
Name them by job rather than by category. Q4 hooks is more useful in six weeks than Videos.
Getting things in
From anywhere in the product. Video cards in Discover, Watchlists and Formats have a save action. A doc can be saved too.
By pasting links. Open a collection and paste, several at a time, anywhere on the page. Vamos fetches each one.
Only individual videos. Profiles, channels and playlists cannot be added, and neither can an ad-library search page, though a single ad can.
When a link fails, Vamos names the reason. The account is private. The post no longer exists. It is a profile, not a video. The link cannot be read. Or it is already in this collection.
Notes
Any saved item can carry a note. What stood out? is the prompt, and it is worth answering, because in three weeks the reason you saved something is the part you will have forgotten.
Handing a set to a chat
In a chat, use Add from collections, pick what you want, and add. A chat takes 60 items at a time, so a very large collection needs selecting rather than dumping.
This is the difference between asking about one video and asking about a body of work. Here are the forty videos I collected this month, what do they have in common is a question you cannot ask by pasting links.
Asking about a collection directly
Every collection has an Ask AI panel. Prefilled starts cover the top hooks, remixing the top videos for your brand, and finding the outliers in the set.
Filtering and finding
Filter by type to separate videos from docs. Search across collections from the index. A narrow filter over a large collection takes a few passes and tells you it is still looking.
Duplicating and deleting
A collection can be duplicated, which is useful as a starting point for a similar set. Deleting one takes its items with it.
Removing an item can be undone straight away.
